From Idea to Impact

Strengthening Your Capacity for Bolder Community & Systems Change

MicrosoftTeams-image (17) - EditedSince 2002, Tamarack has supported a cross-section of community-based organizations and collaboratives to increase their capacity and impact. In 2015, we launched our theory of change which identified the need for changemakers to build leadership capacity across five interconnected practices -- collaboration, community engagement, collaborative leadership, community innovation, and evaluating impact.

Over the past ten years, more than 500 organizations and collaborations have accessed Tamarack consulting and coaching services to deepen their perspectives, increase skills, and access frameworks, tools, and approaches to move their work from idea to impact.

This From Idea to Impact workshop provides an opportunity for those working to implement place-based change efforts capable of generating impact at both the local AND systems levels.

The curriculum for the From Idea to Impact workshop will be based on Tamarack's renewed theory of change which identifies principles, skills, and ways of working that drive community and system impact forward.

The agenda is designed to be interactive, conversational, and content driven. We will be sharing our emerging thinking from the field of community and systems impact. Your questions, ideas, and insights about these new ideas will also contribute to our collective knowledge of how to grow collaborative impact.

Drawing on more than 20 years of experience, Liz Weaver, Tamarack's Co-CEO, and Sylvia Cheuy, Consulting Director of Collaboration will share their experience and insights about creating bolder place-based and systems-level change. Participants will also learn and share their own experiences and strategies to co-create a dynamic exploration of what it takes to drive forward deep and durable change.

The goals of this virtual workshop include:

Discover Tamarack’s 5 Principles & Skillsets of Community and Systems Impact for Changemakers

Consider the importance of trust, power, and the inner work of community change

Explore an Evolution in the Practice of Collective Impact - the role of the Field Catalyst Intermediary

Learn and apply tools and resources designed to mobilize your community for greater  impact

Join fellow changemakers to share insights and experiences for translating ideas to impact

Join us to deepen your perspectives, skills, knowledge, and insights about what it takes to strengthen your community and achieve impact.
