Building Frameworks for Impact
Beyond measurement, evaluation is also a form of storytelling. The data and insights gathered allow us to highlight the tangible and intangible impacts of our work, whether through transformative personal experiences, changes in community dynamics, or measurable improvements in outcomes. These stories, based on evidence, become powerful tools to inspire action, foster collaboration, and encourage change. By conducting thoughtful evaluations, we create opportunities for learning, adaptation, and celebration, thereby strengthening our collective ability to drive sustainable change.
How can you know if your actions are having a real impact on the ground?
This interactive workshop provides a comprehensive overview of frameworks as a tool for impact evaluation, offering a step-by-step guide as to how to create an evaluation framework for your organisation or project. You’ll learn what a theory of change is, how to develop one, and how it can guide both your work and your evaluations. By connecting your activities to the broader change you hope to see, you'll begin to see your efforts as part of a larger story of transformation.
Through creative exercises and collaborative discussions, you will leave with a practical understanding of how to design evaluation frameworks, tell compelling impact stories, and deepen the alignment between your values, actions, and outcomes. Join this space for learning and inspiration, and leave with practical skills, a renewed vision, and concrete next steps to amplify change in your projects.
Language: The workshop will be conducted in English; however, the slides will be bilingual, all activities will be prepared in English and French and the presenter is also bilingual in English and French and would be happy to receive questions in either official language.
