Why Sensemaking, Why Now?
Today’s world is defined by complexity, disruption, and rapid change. Traditional problem-solving tools are not enough when challenges are uncertain and interdependent.
Sensemaking, the practice of interpreting experience, surfacing patterns, and creating shared meaning, has become an essential capacity. It allows us to work with ambiguity, integrate diverse perspectives, and uncover insights that can guide adaptive action. Without this skill, we risk defaulting to reactive solutions that miss deeper opportunities for change. This workshop will help you strengthen your sensemaking skills through collaborative, hands-on practice.
Led by Sonja Miokovic, a seasoned community innovator and Consulting Director of Community Innovation at Tamarack, this workshop invites participants into a hands-on exploration of collaborative sensemaking.
Sonja’s approach is rooted in the belief that learning is most powerful when it is collective. You will leave not only with new tools but also with a felt sense of what it means to “make sense together” in ways that strengthen innovation, decision-making, and collaboration.
