Speaker: Lidia Kemeny and Paul Born
This year the Vancouver Foundation received responses from almost 8,000 people living in British Columbia exploring how residents were participating and contributing to community life. Building on this information, community activations will now seek to better understand how this research can better inform how to engage residents in communities across British Columbia. In the 2019, Vancouver Foundation’s Vital Signs report unpacked who is participating in community life, who isn’t, and what may be holding people back from doing more.
Join a discussion with Vancouver Foundation's Lidia Kemeny and Tamarack's Paul Born as they explore how we can engage community to get input on a particular issue. Together they will discuss findings on questions about how citizens feel about participating and about feeling involved in community life.
Lidia has been studying questions on community for some time and led a survey that discovered the degree of loneliness Vancouverites were feeling.
